All right. I put out a poll last week and I asked you guys what you wanted me to podcast about and I got some great feedback. So thank you for that. If you participated in my poll, I appreciate you. The main ones of interest to you guys were entrepreneurship. You guys love my sassy solos. So thank you because I love being sassy. And also mindset hacks. So I want to talk about the mindset hacks today on this podcast because it's been the game changer for me.
In my twenties, I did not work on myself at all. When I turned 29, I decided to start really working hard on myself. That included a list of getting therapy, reading. I read a lot of self-help, business books, ways about mindset hacks or trainings or thinkings. And that has been a huge game changer.
Into me and my success, and that was something I would highly suggest to you too if you listen to podcast, is to start reading those types of books because that has changed the way of how I think about things. And it honestly is completely rewired my entire brain, which has been amazing and very cool to see a decade later, like where things are.
Some of the mindset hacks, those things have been great for me. I'm really big into input-output. What that means is what we consume. That includes food, that includes thoughts, that includes people, that includes relationships. And so if there are people in your life or
Things going on that are not adding value, you really need to re-examine those things and see if it's worth keeping those people or things or relationships or business in your life. Because once you make adjustments there, the at the end of the day, everything is all about energy. Okay. And you guys know this. Not I talk about energy all the time. Energy is currency. Okay. So if you have people in your life or things that are going on that are completely draining you.

You really need to take a look at that and see if that's worth or they are worth keeping in your life because it can be so much better. And you can protect your circle and your energy. For me, I would rather have less friends and more quality friends than a lot of friends and surface level relationships or conversations. For those of you guys that know, I am a gym girly.
I love going to the gym and working out. Right now I'm doing three days HIT workout screw fitness. And then the other the rest of the week I'm going on long walks. And that's been working for me. It's been a good combination. And one thing I do, you know, going to the gym is hard. I've been doing it my entire life. I've been in shape and that's something that's been a priority to me. And so one thing that I do when I'm at the gym and things are getting hard is I start talking to myself.
So let's say if the goal is to get 15 reps in, if things start getting hard, things are getting heavy, I don't feel like doing it anymore, I break it down into sections that are manageable for me. So what that looks like is I'll start talking to myself in my head. I know I sound crazy saying this, but it just works for me. So I'm just talking about it today openly. If the rep scheme is 15, I'll break it down into fives because five is manageable to me.
So I'll do five reps and then I'll tell myself, okay, you have to do five more reps and then do those five reps and then okay, you have to do the last five reps. And so talking to myself and breaking things down into smaller, simpler ways to get from A to B has been a mindset hack that works good for me. And I even do it with this podcast, you know. Doing three and a half years worth of podcasting is a lot of work.
But if I break it down and say, okay, I've got good energy today, I'm gonna jump on the mic, I'm gonna start recording, I'll batch it out and I'll get as many episodes out of that when I've got the energy and when I know everything is right. And so if there's something that you have that you wanna do, but maybe it seems like too big of a task or something that you can't digest, think about breaking it down into smaller segments. So
