All right. Today I want to talk about something that has been lighting me up recently. For those of you that don't know, I am a member of BI here locally in Beauford. It's been a great decision to join that group. It's for referral and business marketing. And I love the group. I see them every Tuesday. but one concept that has been come up is they talk about a lot in our group about Givers Game.
And the concept of that is is the more that you give referrals and give business, the more you get business as well. And I would say that that's could not be more true in any business or professional interaction that I've had personally. And so my podcast today, I just really wanted to pop off about this one topic. And one of the questions that you're asked is what led to your success? And my answer is simple but impactful.
And for those of you that have been following me for a while, you know that my background is I was a recruiter, I was a headhunter on the agency side. And I even did a short stint in my career. I worked in wine sales for a distributor. And this same concept applied in both careers, no matter what I was doing. And now you guys know I am in the social media marketing, digital marketing space. I've had this podcast now for three years. And this one thing I've done and has been.
made a huge impact in my career. And that is I treat others like I want to be treated. And we all have bad days. I wake up in mood sometimes if I don't sleep well. Maybe something or someone has upset me. And so sometimes it is hard to put your best foot forward or to treat people like you want to be treated or maybe you're not your best. So if you're listening to this, I'm right there with you. I've had plenty of those days
Really hard days, things going on. But at the end of the day, I try to treat every single person I interact with in business like I want to be treated. And I think that that goes a really long way because how people experience you as a professional, as a business person, as an entrepreneur, as an employee, it all matters. They will maybe not remember what you say to them, but they will remember how you make them feel.

And so for me, when I talk about treating others and people I work with like I want to be treated, for me, it's always worked to over-communicate. I try to over-communicate. that leads to a lot of you don't have as much miscommunication, expectations are set. That is what I expect of others too when I'm doing business with them. And so that's work for me. So this podcast today is short and sweet.
But it's just to be a gentle reminder to treat everyone you interact with just like you want to be treated. And it'll go a really long way. Trust me on this. So thank you for tuning in. Thank you for listening. Don't forget to share and subscribe. And I appreciate you more than you know.
