Okay, today I want to talk about goal setting and why it's important to go ahead and start. We are in the fourth quarter of this year, 2025, and entering into 2026. I would highly encourage you, if you're listening to this podcast and you want to start something, no matter what it is, fill in the blank, a podcast, a business, a new hobby, learn a new skill.
whatever fill in the blank it is that you have on your heart that you wanna do, maybe you've been thinking about it, maybe you wanna start a side hustle, you're in corporate, you know you wanna work for yourself, but you wanna start creating a little income for yourself, that is 100 % okay. So I am here to tell you today that just go ahead and start. And don't wait until you have it all figured out or everything all tidied up with like a little bow, all perfect, because guess what?
The journey of starting something is never going to be perfect. I had no clue whatsoever what the hell I was doing when I started my business and been in my product, Chilled Vino. I just figured it out along the way. The exact same thing and exact same concept applies in this podcast. I literally had no clue what I was doing. I told my husband I wanted to start a podcast and he said, OK, go for it. I got online on Google, went down a rabbit hole and
read a blog about how to start a podcast. I had no clue how to do any recordings. I had no clue about any tech things. I had no clue about strategies, literally nothing. I did not interview. I was a recruiter formerly a headhunter. And so I did have good interviewing skills, but I had no clue what I was doing when it came to the podcasting space. And so whatever it is that you want to do, I would suggest is go ahead and doing it, starting it.
And don't think you have to have everything all figured out. It's very overwhelming thinking that and feeling that way. You can just do small things. Like for example, when I started my business, ChildBe No, I did small things and small steps compounded into bigger results. So for example, I went to the bank and opened up my business checking account. I established an LLC for the company. I...

got on Upwork and hired an engineer to help me design the product so I can actually get it physically made. Same thing with the podcast. I started recording episodes and figuring out the tuck, doing the editing. I wanted to do it all by myself. I didn't want to outsource any of it in the beginning. And I actually don't still outsource any of it. So if you're listening to this and you're like, podcasting is going to be too much work, it's really not.
So what used to take me three hours takes me less than five minutes now and I use the AI for editing and so it makes it so easy, so simple. The only time investment is the actual recording of the podcast. But I've actually had the opportunity to meet the most amazing humans through podcasting. And so if you're on the fence about starting a podcast or you would like to do it or thinking about it, considering it.
Do it, it has been the best thing that I've done and I appreciate each and every one of you who tune in every week. I love this whole podcast, I love this whole journey. It has been a labor of love, but I have loved every minute of it. So if you have something that you wanna do in your heart, just do it. Until next time.
