Today I'm gonna talk about a couple things that have been the needle movers in my online journey and in my business journey. And I'm gonna go ahead and just get right into it for you. Okay, number one, it is getting in the room. For those of you that don't know, I am headed out to Scottsdale, Arizona. Next week, it's a Powerhouse Women 2025 conference. And I am so excited. Last year is my first year going and I will continue to go back every year.

The room is literally lit on fire and is full of 900 plus female entrepreneurs just like me. And it's a great place to network, great place to meet people, great place to expand your network, and just literally the best energy. So for those of you listening and you're wondering like, okay, what kind of rooms do need to get in? Sometimes these rooms are free rooms. Sometimes they're paid rooms. Yes, as it costs time.

Yes, it costs money, but guess what? It's literally worth it every single time because you will leave the experiences lit up, lit up about your journey, what you're doing. You'll have the opportunity to meet other individuals who are on the same path as you. You will also have the opportunity to meet people that are doing what you want to be doing. Those people are in that room too. And the best you can do to put yourself in those rooms is literally going to be the needle mover for you.

And I don't mean chamber events, don't mean, you know, whatever. I mean the big events, like the big networking stuff. And yes, does it require me to get on an airplane, hotel, all the things? Yes. But literally last year I met the most amazing humans that led to new clients, podcast guest bookings, speaking engagements, you name it. The sky is literally the limit. And if I wouldn't have taken the risk of putting myself out there in the room, those things never would have happened.

So if you're listening to this podcast today, I would highly encourage you to start researching, looking into rooms you can be in. Maybe they're local in your state. I'm in South Carolina. We have rooms like this around here. This particular one I'm going halfway across the country for. So it just depends on whatever you can do, but start doing the research, start doing the networking, and put yourself in the room. Number two, something that's been important and move the needle for me is find your people.

Caroline Pennington (02:20.031)
So find your network, your friends, start connecting with people who are doing things that you want to be doing. You are the average of the top five people that you spend your time with. And so you want to choose those five people really wisely. So maybe you have someone in your circle and they are not really doing much with their life, that's fine. You can still be friends with them or acquaintances or whatever, but start filling those slots of people who are lifting you up, who are cheering you on.

who are on your team, who you can call when you're having a bad day, who you can call when you're having a good day. So choose those top people very, very wisely. And that's been a huge game changer for me too. I'm now friends of people that I used to follow on the internet or used to watch online or used to hear about. And I now am friends with those people. They're in my telephone, they're great friends, and I'm truly blessed to have that. And so the reason that I have those people,

in my network is actually because of my first reason, because I put myself in the room. So if you're listening to podcast today and you're like, okay, I don't really know how to figure it out, I don't know how to do it, just start networking, start putting yourself out there and you'll figure out and you'll understand, you'll see who matches your energy, who's got your vibe, who's got your back, all the things. So that's my words of encouragement to you today. Until next time.
