Hey friend, so today we're gonna talk about why every single person needs their own personal brand. I did a talk about this recently here locally in my hotel in Befort of why everyone needs a personal brand. I don't care if you work in corporate or if you work for yourself, you're an entrepreneur, every single person needs a personal brand and here's why. Number one, we live in a world where everyone is online. Every single person is on Facebook or Instagram or.
X or TikTok or LinkedIn to some degree. And so it is super, super important that you have a presence online because guess what? When they meet you, they're gonna go look you up online and you wanna make sure you have a good optimized profile out there and putting your best foot forward online. It's super, super important. Number two.
Facebook has three billion users, Instagram has two billion users, LinkedIn has one billion users, TikTok has 1.5 billion users. My point here is there is a lot of volume, a lot of traffic, a lot of opportunity for connection, a lot of opportunity for networking online, and so that is where it's at. It's completely fine to sign to someone's DMs and ask them for a coffee chat. Maybe you like the work that they're doing, maybe you like the vibe that they're putting out online, but I've met so many amazing humans online.
And you can too.
Okay, personal branding also supercharges the know, like, and trust factor, which is huge. If you're out there doing business development, let's say you work in corporate, or you own a business and you want more sales or more clients or to move more product, whatever it is, if people feel like they know you, the likelihood that they're gonna get their credit card out and spend money with you is significantly higher. And once you start building your personal brand, you literally supercharge that entire process.

If I were you and you're listening to this and you're like, I don't really know about showing up online. It's a whole thing. I like getting on there. Let's just be real. You're on there scrolling anyways. So if you're on there anyways, instead of comparing yourself to others or going down a doom scroll, you might as well put some content out there and start creating a brand for yourself.
And I would say if you decide to a personal brand, five days a week minimum is what you need to show up. Preferably seven days a week, either one depending on a platform. On Instagram, I show up seven days a week. On LinkedIn, I show up five days a week. And that's the volume that you need if you want to grow fast. If you want to have a steady or slower pace, then a couple times a week, three times a week is that magic number.
But in my opinion for LinkedIn it's five days a week, for Instagram and Facebook it's seven days a week. Okay, one other thing that personal branding creates is you need to have clarity and consistency and that right there my friend is the game changer when it comes to building a personal brand. The consistency piece is hard and that's what most people struggle with, but that is the game changer. That's been the game changer with my podcast, that's been the game changer with my LinkedIn growth, it's been the game changer with my Instagram account.
And so even though it feels redundant or like, ugh, I don't feel like showing up today, trust me, I have plenty of those days too. There are many, I would say probably most days where I don't feel like showing up, or I look like crap or like a rat or my makeup is not on or my hair is not done, but guess what? I just do it anyways. And people actually like to see that side of you because it's more human. And they like to know more of the behind the scenes, know, what are you doing? What are you eating? How are you spending your time? Do you exercise? Do you not? Do you like wine? Do you not?
all of those things people love to see. And this is something I'm talking about that's huge, that I am really fired up about, is when you start building a personal brand online, people can feel your energy, okay? So make sure whatever you're putting out there, that it's positive, that it actually describes what you're doing, it talks about the experience people are having, transformation some of your clients are having. The energy you put out in the world, people are either gonna be super attracted,

or they're gonna be repelled by it. And if they're repelled by it, that's okay, not everyone needs to love you. They're not your people anyways, so don't even worry about it. So be very mindful of your energy. We all have bad days. I have plenty of bad days where I don't like showing up, or I'm in a bad mood, or a problem has happened, whatever, fill in the blank, life. But if you have those times, make sure you're prepared and pre-schedule as much as you can.
Because your energy is truly your currency when building your personal brand and you want to make sure it's in alignment with who you are as a person.
Thanks for listening. Until next time.
